sliding Wardrobe Doors

I'm looking to put in a large sliding wardobe in my spare room which is 3m X 2.m. Ideally it would go from wall to wall. So there was no need for much joinery work it would just be fitting the tracks to the floor and ceiling.

Has anyone done this will it look good? Where is the best place to buy sliding doors, i've been looking around the net and everywhere is pretty expensive.

    I done mine about a yr ago for a space about 2600 x 2400.
Very easy to fit had 3 doors in black glass, they do many other colours and was about £220ish a door if i remember inc delivery.
Used a company off ebay for this and they were built to size.
I built the inside myself to how i wanted it and the doors look stunning.
  • have you tried b&q my dad done them years ago in my bedroom (roughly the same size), at first he used the basic mirrored doors, they lasted about 2/3 years. then he changed them to 2 white with one mirrored and they've been on for about 5 years now.

We got ours from Homebase as well, about 5 years ago and they are still as good as new.

Thoroughly recommend them, especially if they have a discount over Easter as well!

If your height is only 2mtrs, you are going to need made to measure doors as the standard ones from B&Q and Homebase are for a min. opening height of 2260mm.

Would you be able to post a link to ebay of the ones you bought?
I've searched around there and cant find anyone who builds them to size.

    Cheers

Have looked through my feedback and cant find the actual people i got mine from as done 2 house up off ebay!!!

Below is a link for the same thing i went for.

Bare in mind different styles cost different - you just send them the measurements of the opening space you need to fill and colour/style, i had complete plain black glass and they do the measurements for you with quote

mmm, they seem to have sold more hair straighteners than sliding wardrobe doors...
And the only ones they sold were 2 in 2009 and one on May 2011....
