using Halifax Visa electron card abroad

Morning , Can anyone advise if the halifax visa electron card can be used abroad to withdraw cash from machines ? I have looked all over and cant seem to find anything to clarify this .

If this card cant be used abroad to withdraw cash can anyone recommend a good card to use in order to withdraw cash abroad .

Yep, it will work in any ATM with the Visa or the Plus sign on it.

I would suggest you take another card with you as a back-up like the Caxton FX pre-paid card or something similar. Not for the exchange rate but in case you lose one or one gets declined or retained in an ATM and you are stuck.

    Hope this helps.

Yes it can but I would advise the bank that you will be using it abroad. If your credit rating is ok then consider their Clarity Credit Card as there are no foreign exchange fees on it.
