How long should it take for my LL to decide how much she wants from my deposit?

I know I might be being a little impatient but I left my rental property on Monday (it's now Friday). The LL had decided what he wanted to charge me for before then (I could argue fair wear and tear but I have enough on my plate ATM with the property I have bought) but has still not told me how much this is. Obviously I want this sorted asap and I'm going for a few days away with my children next week and would really like it wrapped up by then so I can relax.
I've tried searching on here, Googling and reading the DPS blurb but I can't find anything about timescales.

IIRC some of the schemes require notification withing 1o or 14 working days, can't remember. Ring them up and ask them how quickly a dispute needs to be registered.

5 days is not unreasonable. Personally I think 2 calendar weeks is where I would start to question things, particularly if a tradesman needs to be called in to quote

So far there's no dispute, hopefully there won't be and we can sort it ourselves. There's no tradesmen need to be involved, in fact the work has already been done which is why I think I should at least have the figure by now - which I will likely agree for an easy life.

Deposits schemes do have rules re raising disputes but landlord is not obligated to use the scheme arbitration procedure.

But landlord should return deposit propose deductions as soon as possible.
If no news next week, contact the dosit scheme on how to request the deposit back in full.

Thanks. You see I'd understand a delay if there was a dispute but there's nothing to dispute yet and from what he said there isn't going to be one. Having said that I did leave the property as I found it, in fact a tenant moved in the day after I left and since his inventory was just basically a list of what furniture was in there and there was no schedule of condition he probably wouldn't be able to argue if I asked for the full amount back. Which I will if he leaves it much longer.
