A: no it must be an actual income i.e. BACS, pension, payslip.

A: it may work as something else such a FP but you only qualify if its an income such as pay from a company or a pension,it is checked. basically you can't bounce or fake it.
This seems to contradict what other people have said. If you're intent on opening the regular savings account anyway then it might be worth a try at least.0 -
Put £1500 in via FP anyway, if you don't get the £100 you know why, if you do (as others have) - bonus!0

Update:
Started 1st account in April and requested full DD+SO switch. Remitted £1500 each in April and May from another current account(not my salary).I was planning to transfer another £1500 in June, but £100 incentive already paid.:j
I didn't get the extra £25 though I clicked thru' moneysupermarket link. Still happy:T
So I think just one £1500 remittance and completion of all DD+SO switch would get you £100:D0
