why can i nt get a transfer frm a tesco credit card ,no missed payments an pay over the monthly amount yet no credit card company will accept a transfer .is it because tescos is rbs

Tesco is serviced by RBS, so if your other card is also RBS, then you cannot balance transfer from one to another

But they're underwritten by two separate companies after Tesco Bank bought out the RBS share of the TPF JV a while ago?

Do you speak from personal experience, or insider knowledge?

thanks ,have tried every1 virgin .nationwide,postoffice,barclarycard ,bt.sainsburys,etc still no joy

Underwriting is different to who services the debt. RBS still supply them with the card.

Where are you trying to balance transfer to? Yes, accidentally tried to balance transfer from Tesco to Natwest card before, and of course it didnt' work

you should be able to transfer to virgin, nationwide, barclaycard etc

How are you doing it? on the phone?

You need to order your credit report(s) to see what the lender's see about you when they assess your applications.

However, if your debt and available credit is high compared to your income, or you have a financial association with an undesirable, then that could explain things.

And could you refrain from 'text speak', as it makes your posts hard to read.

But the indebtedness is to two separate organisations, so you're not borrowing from mum to pay dad?

I'm not clear on your specific situation. Is it the case that you can't get accepted for BT credit cards, or you already hold the cards you mention and they won't let you BT a balance to them?
