Hi I have recently got ipad2 please can anyone help me with a payg sim card for 3G connection abroad? Total novice and have wifi at home but going on holiday and want to take iPad with me. Any suggestions? Also will I be able to charge it up in Croatia?

do you have the wifi only version? cause if you do then you can't get 3G on it, but you can use it at any wifi in the world ie the hotel

if you have the 3G version then you can probably get a local Croatian sim card to use in it, or just use free wifi while there.

Word of warning, roaming data prices can be VERY high. If you are using a UK sim card, check the costs with your supplier before you go.

If you by a sim in Croatia, again, check the prices.

Absolutely, DO NOT use your 3G SIM in Croatia. They're not in the EU so you'll be a charged an even higher fee. Try and use the hotel's WiFi (if you're going to a hotel).

Hi, I have a data sim that works in 90 different countries, you can request a micro sim, which you pay a one off fee for, that goes in your ipad, and then they just charge you €0.59 per MB for data used, thats a lot better than the £2-£4 per MB you will be charged by UK networks. I have used this successfully so far in Portugal and France, but have a look at the website and see if its for you, it DOES cover Croatia. They have a minimum one use per year rule, but thats fine if you go on hols at least once a year and use it. Its operated by Austrian Telecom and is called 'Abroadband', Google it for UK link.
