Any XBox 360 gamers that can help me?

My step son has an X Rocker beanbag (this one http://www.boysstuff.co.uk/gaming-chairs/bean-bag-gaming-chairs/product/x-rocker-gamebag-gaming-chair/?source=webgains&siteid=47683) and Turtlebeach X11 headphones.

What I need to know is how can we set it up so all the sound is through the headphones, we can get chat through the headphones but the game sound still comes out from the beanbag and there is no volume control so it is really loud and wakes my youngest.

Can anyone help ?

Just unplug the connections from the beanbag. After all it is just beanbag with speakers. Yes you won't get effects from the chair as they come from the speakers.

Or if the plug on the chair is 3.5mm, could try and in line volume control to turn the sound down.

Ideally he would like to still have the effects of the bag so I think we will need to try the in line volume control and if that doesn't help enough he will just have to use the bag during the day when he won't wake anyone up.
