Need breakdown cover

Whichever you choose go through a cashback site such as topcashback and you get a hefty lump back, depending on the level of cover you choose.0

Autoaid as suggested on this web site

How do you get it for just £36?
I didn't know Autoaid gave discounts and I don't see in the article any mention of such a discount either.
However, the article does suggest the basic cover the OP is looking for is available from less than £9/year with the AA, or £16/year with Green Insurance for those that don't wish to rely on cashback being paid out."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
I would like breakdown cover for my car that is 5 months old, only looking for the basic recovery in case i break down on a motor way, can anyone point me in the right direction.
What make of car do you have?
Many manufacturers supply breakdown cover for the first 12 months.
Worth checking you are not already covered before splashing out more money on duplicate cover."Now to trolling as a concept. .... It was £36 when I last paid, so it has gone up £2, no big deal.
The cover the OP is looking for is not available for the prices you quote. The OP specifically said " looking for the basic recovery in case i break down on a motor way"
The prices you quote only cover roadside assistance, not recovery.
The Autoaid policy covers recovery of vehicle and 5 people to your destination. It also includes cost of one night in a hotel for up to 5 people if that is necessary.0 -

If the last price you paid was £36, I suggest you check if you are still covered. It hasn't been £36 for a long, long time! (well over a year)
As i read the OPs post, I believe they want the basic Rescue - i.e. to be recovered from a motorway in the case of a breakdown. Rescue will do this and take the OP to the nearest repairer.
I'm not sure what basic Recovery is?
How does that differ from full Recovery?
Recovery will, in the event of a breakdown (that is not repairable roadside) take the vehicle to any single nominated destination in the UK mainland, as opposed to the nearest repairer. The AA call this Relay, since you are transported on a 'relay' of lorries, often waiting hours for the next lorry to arrive, as opposed to a single lorry most other organisations will do it with."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
