Sky High bills! Help please!

Your consumption figures are presumably based on your last 3 months usage, which is the most expensive quarter (darkest and coldest). Work out your annual kWh figures (either from a year's bills, or by calling your supplier). Those are what you really need to give a proper picture.
Having said, that your electricity consumption at nearly 13,000 kWh is absurdly high-the average is about 3,300kWh. Many houses with all electric heating use less than that.
Are you using gas to heat your hot water? If so, have you got an back-up immersion heater left on 24/7? What is your insulation like (loft, cavity walls, windows)?
The hot tub will account for a lot, but not all-how often is it used and what is it rated at?No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks again everyone.
macman, no, we have no immersion heater- we have a new ish boiler which is a combi boiler, have loft insulation, double glazing etc.
Tbh, the hot tub is not used very often. My dh runs his own business installing and servicing them, which is why we have one- it was being upgraded by a customer, so a 'freebie'.(In case people were thinking how ridiculously extravagant a thing to have and then complain about electricity costs!) £90 per quarter is apparently the average costs of a regularly used tub, so probably an over estimate in our case.
I will look into the OWL monitors suggested, also.
Point taken about son's PC but I think I have no hope of altering that situation- he's nearly 16 and his whole world revolves around his PC! So £7.50 per month doesn't seem too horrendous, a lot less than the leisure activities of his sister who wants the latest phones, clothes, lifts everywhere etc etc!
I will try checking the electricity meter reading 24 hrs apart and reoprt back. Thanks again people:)0 -
How often is not very? Once week...once a month? It should be very simple to then work out how many hours it's running and what it draws-your OH will know that if he installs them.
If not often, then your consumption is even more alarming and cannot be explained by a PC running 24/7.
Get an electrician in to have a look, if no joy with that then I'd suspect a faulty meter. Given what it's costing you, the cost of a sparky or a meter replacement will be a worthwhile investment. No free lunch, and no free laptop
