Motor insurance, HELP!

Hi, my boyfriend had his motorbike stolen, his insurance paid out. We thought that was the end of the matter. However, they have now written to him asking him to pay for the rest of the policy because he didn't specifically say he wanted to end the policy and they left the policy going in case he wanted to insure another vehicle. Can they do that? Do we have to pay them?

Had he told them he wanted to finish the policy, then they would have deducted the remaining money owed from the settlement.
Following his claim, the full year must be paid.0 -
That's normal, he took a policy out for the bike for a year.
If he had paid up front, then claimed for the bike they wouldnt be giving him a refund.
The insurance is not paid for on a monthly basis. Its a loan to be paid off over a time for your convenience.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
There was an almost identical question a few days ago - here's the answer
