My late father did that to my Mum when he was in the army stationed at Bulford camp and she lived in London. He said the extra cash was for his beer money as HE had saved it.

If your as old as I am, I also change the price back to pre-decimalisation.It's quite a shock when the Saturday newspaper costs 14/-.(70p)
Puts me off of buying lots of unesseccery goods.
While I'm here has anyone any idea how I can rid my daughters walls of wax crayoning that was done whilst she was in hospital having sprog No.5
Dad was suppossed to be looking after the other children and the two youngest 4 & 3 thought they would draw a picture of the new baby for Mummy. Bless'em.It's on an emulsioned cream wall and shows up a bit too well.
    Cheers peeps.

Oh I am just repeating what Kim and Aggie did on their programme last week!

Use a hairdryer to blow warm air directly on to the area where there is crayon. When the crayon marks are warmed up, dab some baby oil on to a piece of cloth and use this to rub off the marks.

    Hope it works!

It means you go onto an old thread and put something on it to 'bump' it up to the top again.
