No longer use account, overdrawn only in charges

Hi, Halifax charged me just over £200 in December which took me overdrawn. I'm only overdrawn through charges. I had to divert my salary to my partners account so I could afford Christmas!

They say that I have to pay it back, and that they have put a black mark on my credit rating? How can I get this sorted out? I don't really want to pay them the money and then claim it back because I can't afford to do that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

  • they have now written to us wanting to pay back a charge that was put on account after we had closed it, to the sum of £106.11...

We successfully claimed back £500 a month ago and made the decision to close the account... letter written. Now we get this letter?

Is Another letter needed? How do i get them to waive this fee... coz i'm telling you, I'm not paying it!!! The account was not overdrawn when we closed it, and no other direct debits have gone through... we were all clear.

Advice would be very much appreciated.
