Furnishing an apartment abroad

Don't know where to post this really.

We have bought an apartment in northern Morocco. The developer has quoted a horrendous price to furnish it.Any ideas how we can do it ourselves?

Do you speak the language (or at least French)?

Maybe worth trying to talk to some local Craftsmen, but be prepared to haggle like your life depends on it.

Where abouts is it? And what's horrendous? what do you need?
I go over quite frequently, mostly Tangier/Tetouen or Casablanca/Rabat areas, know a few shops, none incredibly cheap, but know people who *may* be able to get details of shops etc if you let me know where you are. Also an amazing interior designer-but he is hideously expensive! :eek: What kind of furniture are you after?
