As Fethiye is my favourite place, I had to answer you.
We used to have a holiday home in Calis Beach, just outside Fethiye a couple of years ago and always used to go over at the beginning of May at the start of the season. The weather is gorgeous, although you might need a jacket or cardigan in the evenings, especially if there is a breeze. There are loads of trips to go on and boat trips from the harbour. You just go along to where the boats are to book your ticket from one of the guys. We have done the 12 Islands trip and the Gocek market day trip.
You can also get the water taxi to Calis Beach across the bay for an evening. You can go to the Dolmus terminus in Fethiye and get the bus to Hisaronu, Olu Deniz, Kayakoy, wherever. Plenty of agencies around to book Jeep safari, Saklikent Gorge and other trips.
Have a fab time, wish I was going this year.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
