Impact of BE buying BA Connect - cancelled flights

I just tried to book a BHX to EDI flight with BA for a fortnight's time only to find all the BA flights are cancelled on the route!

So I used to have a choice, now I have very little. And I hate BE's DASH8s. I can only hope they'll find passengers numbers now mean they'll lay on a 737 instead.

And FlyBe have also now dropped ALL flights to Spain from BHX! Anyone with inside info on what they are playing at?

My BA flight was late yesterday because the pilot got stuck in traffic in a Taxi, how daft is that?

All I got from Customer services was "....I can confirm that unfortunately the destinations Murcia and Alicante have ceased operation from Birmingham due to commercial reasons."!!!

ps...Richard, we're talking about FlyBE who bought the BA Connect operation. Before that, I liked them a lot!
