Argos - negative voucher

The other side of the coin is that if Argos instead sent everyone a plastic voucher that could be used in store then for some people that would be just as bad.
For example, if someone is housebound and they do their shopping on-line what use is it if they're sent a voucher that only works in store?
Ideally the vouchers should work both in store and online but probably there's some technical limitations preventing that.0 -

It is clearly possible to have a code that you can use online or in store. It's not rocket science. And if Argos has so much trouble with what others find easy then all they have to do is ask you if you would like a voucher or a code when you make the online purchase.
Or for unhappy customers "customer service" could exchange the code for a voucher. But they refused to do that for me. So I cancelled the sale and they lost that sale. Pretty stupid and really bad customer service.0 -
If you don't like the terms of the voucher, you could always choose not to partake in the offer? After all the details of the promotion seem pretty clear.
But taking advantage of an offer, then whining about the terms afterwards seems a little backwards if you ask me.0 -

They probably think they've had a lucky escape to be honest0 -

Of course, silly me, I forgot that times are so good companies can pick an choose who they sell to. What a fool. Of course they would rather lose a £100 + sale than exchange an online code for a store voucher of exactly equal value. Of course, far better to keep up standards than make more profit. DOH! It's so obvious now you have explained it.0
