Engagement Ring Insurance

Hi All,

The time has come again to insure my fiance's engagement ring and I'm wondering what is likely to be the best deal.

The ring is valued at £11,500 and insurance quotes from TH March are around £150 for the year with home insurance being about the same.

I've been really happy with the service from TH March over the past year so happy to go with them again if it's the best deal but are there alternatives?

Normally the main alternative is to add it to your home insurance

My Axa home insurance policy covers items up to £12,000 as standard and so with them it wouldnt even need to be a specified item. Annual home insurance for £85,000 of content and £15,000 out the home (I wasn't as generous as you) is £220 a year.

I am surprised at your price from March, when I checked for insuring the wifes collection it came out at more than our complete home contents insurance
