    Is this going anywhere?

    Probably not, you are right.

Mainly because people are trying your original question, which centred around you wanting to open an ISA with YBS and you encountered ID problems..
I decided to try and open a cash ISA at the Yorkshire building society (a different place to the Yorkshire bank).

You informed us today that you had an ISA with Darlington, and you didn't respond to many suggestions on how you could try and rectify the ID issues. To be honest, I don't know any longer what your question is, or whether you indeed have a question. Therefore I'm out!

I think I've mentioned on a couple of occasions that I'll try to open an account at various places.

I don't know anything about isas! Yes my original intention was to open an isa, and an isa alone, but now I realise that's no good! I didn't realise I could only save £5,300 odd a year which is incomprehensible to me!

I don't have any further questions. The lady at the Yorkshire bank has ruled I'm not allowed to have another account. As far as I'm concerned that's it. I presume they're not legally obliged to provide me with another account.
Assertions of impossibility are based on the metaphysical creeds of the scientists of the day. . . . Incapacity to admit nonphysical action is an occupational disease [of material scientists]."
