Santander PPI claim...

Options
Afternoon all, I realise that there is probably a thread for claiming back PPI from Santander but there are so many stickys and threads, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to save me some time...:o

I have a loan with Santander on which I pay PPI. I have had this loan for about 3 years. Basically, I want the PPI taken off and the monies paid so far refunded. If someone could point me to the appropriate thread, I shall reward them, not with a cut of the money I might get back, but a virtual sloppy kiss....
:D

Thanks in advance.

    Hi there

I am not sure where you would stand on the grounds of having the money refunded directly back to you, but if you for example, made a reclaim for being mis sold, as the loan is still active, they may use the refund towards the balance and the interest should come back to you. But please do not quote this on me, because it differs from one bank to the other, where they may refund the whole lot of ppi plus interest back to you, maybe someone who have dealt with these direct will know more on how Santander work.

However, if its just the fact that you just want to cancel, in order to have the monthly loan repayments reduced (and the loan balance), you can ask to cancel, but not sure if they will refund the ppi unless it was a complaint.
To what I am aware of is, there is a cooling period when taking out the loan, this can vary depending on what it says on your paperwork, some is 14 days, others maybe 30 days, and if you cancelled in that time, if you paid any ppi with the first payment, then they would have refunded.

If you believe you were mis sold, just simply complete the reclaim questionnaire, and send to the business who sold you the account, keep a copy for yourself. Good luck.

The reclaim/complaint questionnaire is step 3 below.

LOL, hope your successful, and all goes fine for you, the best of luck.;)

If the PPI payment was included in the loan repayment, this is front loaded and the most upheld of all PPI reclaiming.
It was in fact on the loan to term end with interest, use this as a reason for mis sell.
