M&S 0% Credit card question

Hi,

In December I applied for the M&S 0% credit card and was refused but I am sure that is because I bought a house in November and had around 3 credit checks done to do with it (I know I know!!) So I think that had hit my credit file quite badly.

Now in July I want to apply for the card again and hopefully with 6 months mortgage payments and phone bill payments behind me I will be a better prospect. But I am also on the hunt now for a new Cash ISA and saw that M&S do a good one and I am wondering if I get this will it help me at all with my credit card application?

Thanks.

99.99% certain that it won't help.

Before wasting an application, give M&S a call and confirm their 're-apply' wait time.

Ok thanks for that mate. So I need to contact M&S about the re-apply time when I go for the ISA as well or is that just for the credit card?

Can't see why would you would be turned down by M&S if you can get a house... im 24 had a credit card account with them since i was 19 years old. ( 5 years - 2007 )

A mortgage is the single biggest financial commitment most people will make.

M&S almost certainly wanted to see some settling of the OPs finances before granting a credit facility.

Then again, if the OP moved in November, they wouldn't be on the Electoral Roll (with the CRAs) until sometime late December/early January?

Yeah I have been on the electoral roll since around January so that will help as well come July time. I will phone up M&S and ask about reapplying but was wondering if I should only do this when I apply for my CC card or when or if I apply for the ISA?
