Hi me and my partner are buying a property with my partners brother and his wife (Its the only way we could possibly afford to get on the property ladder) We have found a place that is ideal (it needs modernizing which we plan to do and then sell the house and find something better) The only thing is the house has been underpinned. We spoke to the owners who said it had been checked since been done and there was no movement and that they have the report. They said this was done about 6 years ago. Apparently most the houses on that road had had to be underpinned.
I’m nervous about buying the property, we are yet to have the survey done but if that comes back ok is there anything else I should be aware of when it comes to buying a property like this, like what paper work should we be looking for and would it be difficult to sell on,
Any advice would be gratefully received,
Thanks Kate
