If there are Sunday morning bells than an absolute no for me.
    It's someone else's fault.

I used to live opposite what I describe as an Alleluia church, which had mostly a black congregation. The plus side was it was a lovely quiet small side street & no worries about it being replaced by an ugly or intrusive building.

Monday through to Saturday it was perfect, just a nice outlook to the quiet church on the opposite side of the road, but come Sundays, everything changed. The congregation started to arrive from around 9.am onwards & it was around 10pm before everybody left.

Whilst in the church, the congregation would be singing their rousing Alleluia songs, which didn't bother me as I quite liked the party atmosphere that seeped over, although in the summer when all the doors & windows were open, it got on some of my neighbours nerves when they were trying to relax in the garden. But the big downside was the noise of people leaving the church could be really intrusive. They would often stand chatting outside my house for ages, often with their children running about & being noisy, as children playing can be. And then you'd have all the car doors slamming. Oh and parking was a nightmare for residents, as any space if a resident went out was quickly nabbed by a church member.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I would find out how the church property is actually used. I lived next door to a modern-style church. No bells and the Sunday parking was never particularly intrusive. But the path down the side of the church was a cut-through for the local chavvy kids who thought nothing of chucking litter over the fence. And the church hall was used for a playgroup on weekday mornings so we had school-run style inconsiderate parking during the week, despite being streets away from the nearest school.

Now I live in a village and the nearest church is in the next village, but we still hear the bells pealing across the fields. I don't mind it but it gets on my OH's nerves.

You really need to understand the features of the church in question to understand the impact that it is going to have on the property in question.

I would also check how strong the congregation is. In London many churches have changed to "Alleluja" churches, or been bought over and turned into all manner of things, housing (usually with no parking) restaurants. If it is a quiet church it is ripe for conversion!!
