I have yesterday bought a car insurance policy from this company on a monthly basis. Today they sent me cover documents together with a separate letter saying that they needed to discuss a discrepancy. On speaking with them they said that there was a entry made on the insurance database against my car dating back to2008 saying that i had driven away after hitting a stationary car. This has never come up before on any other new insurance. Obviously i was worried sick so phoned original insurance company and dvla and they said nothing was ever recorded. I am really worried that they could put my insurance up for something that isn't true! Any advice on what to tell them would be much appreciated.

There are many databases used for validation and counter-fraud. You need to ask Adrian Flux which database has the incident recorded on it. Then you need to approach the data controller of that database and find out what information they hold on you. Then if the data is incorrect, you should contact the insurer who submitted the data to that database in order to get it amended/erased.0 -

Ok thank you. I will ask them but they said I should contact Diamond who apparently lodged incident. Diamond have never done so. Also the police said that I would have had a visit by now! Should I go
Back to flux and tell them my findings0
