I'm after aprox 15 roll of cheap embossed wallpaper for a rental property, Don't want to spend much as it could end up wrecked, can anybody recommend anywhere good to go either websites or shops in west mids/coventry area can't seem to find any on clearance anywhere for this amount, ebay often has just a couple of rolls cheap, nowhere near enough for what i need.
I've googled myself boss-eyed and have given up.

Have you tried your local market? One by me ( which is too far for you) has a stall on it, with really good prices. Think they were at least 1/2 the price they were in in B&Q.
You should have loads of places round the midlands that sell them cheap. Areas round Bearwood, Egbaston,Erdington,Dudley,Wolverhampton, have big ethnic communities. If it is anything like Blackburn near me, you will find a shop dead easy. Blown Vinyl Is not that expensive as you may think. Areas like I have suggested have big house rental areas, so you should find somewhere quite easily.0 -
Wilkinson's have 15% off wallpaper at the moment.

Coventry 99p shop had quite a bit in when we went 3 weeks ago. The one in townMad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!

Thanks i'll have to see what they've got used to be a brilliant shop in dudley that did super fresco at £2 a roll unfortunately it went belly up about 16 months back, the recession has killed lots of good shops.0

I put woodchip "effect" paper in my spare room (only because it was for a lodger who wasn't too careful the first time he lived here).
I know, shock, horror - woodchip!! EEK!! LOL
Actually though, once painted I really like it! Its clean, fresh and not in your face and the slight texture means its not too stark either.
It was either £1.49 or £1.99 per roll from Wilkinsons.

Can I ask why you want wallpaper?
Why not just paint the walls!

The walls are shocking paint wouldn't cover the abuse they've suffered at the hands of my monster in law it's her house and she wants wallpaper but doesn't want to pay for it, She's already roped me in as free labour I've already got it all stripped scrubbed filled and sanded best i can (in my non-expert opinion it could do with replastering, but shes tighter than a ducks) and now she wants near free wallpaper too, So there goes my easter break wallpaper hunting and redoing the living room of a tight old buzzard (who hates my guts anyways) but sooner it's done, the sooner the place is rented, and the sooner she's out the country and off my back, hurrah!
I've been good not to shotput her over the hedge so tell the easter bunny to bring me chocolate as pms and mother in laws don't mix.0 -
I've just been involved in renovating my FIL's new house. It's now at the decorating stage, and he is doing a great job of the wallpapering (he's a retired painter and decorator).
He's putting up some really nice stuff, including some Laura Ashley paper that I wouldn't have minded getting for my place.
All of the paper was bought for virtually peanuts at car boot sales, last summer.
A proper MSE bargain. :money: Definitely worth a thought!Nothing is foolproof, as fools are so ingenious!
