Maia worktops

Looking for a new kitchen at the moment and we've found one we like but the choice of laminate colour worktops is poor the budget doesn't stretch to any kind of solid worktop.
However they do a range of worktops made by Maia.
It's a type of laminate worktop, it's 40mm thick and the laminate is 3mm thick.
It's not cheap but so far it's the only thing between normal laminate and a solid surface.
Has anyone got this worktop?
If so whats it like?

Or a Staron worktop apparently with these when you apply a compond to a join you then sand it down.
Any marks are scratches can be removed by sanding, so they say.0 -
similar to minerelle getacore etc. they try to be a cheap corian but they can never offer the same look, my advice would be go with corian or laminate as these are rarely satisfactory0

Would love a kitchen worktop made out of corian, we have a fireplace made of this stuff and it looks fab.
Unfortunately my budget is small, so a decent laminate it is.0
