To anyone who rents a room out....

I just want to know what you guys (or gals) offer when renting a room out.
E.G. £XX per week for a room and free to use the whole house as it was your home?
£XX per week for a room but only the room?
I'm not looking for people's opinions on what they THINK they should be getting for their money, just factual what they do offer their lodgers.
Thanks

I offer their own room and share of the rest of the house including bills for a fixed price.Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0

Hello Ryan
I offer a double room, free roam of the house and all bills for a fixed monthly price. The only thing I exclude is phone calls from the landline (itemised and split) and we have a £1 coin savings tin for milk, bread, toilet paper and ocasional beers! Usually a fiver week each goes in there.

" free to use the whole house "
So you would be happy if they went into your bedroom ?
bedroom is private space and lounge/kitchen/garden available to all
Helps if you have more than one bathroom0 -
My lodgers had use of their own room and the rest of the house/garden, apart from our sitting room and bedroom and the price included all bills apart from telephone (if they wished to use the house telephone they had to ask permission), but normally these days people have their own mobiles.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0
