Reminds me of a self cert I was processing in my previous job - the word diarrhoea had been mis-spelt and crossed out several times and replaced with -I couldn't stop carping myself:rotfl:

that just reminded me someone gave me an orchid as a thank you present. I looked up on how to look after it and it died within three months. I was very upset with myself.[/QUOT

Just cut off the dead stems and wait for it to grow again

I think the secret to keeping orchids flowering is NOT to water them ! I have had one in flower since Jan and have given it a tiny drop of water ONCE....someone asked me the other day if it was plastic !!

DS3 bought me my first one and I was sooooo :o:o when it died. Of course I dumped it into the compost bin. No 2 came to the same sticky end I'm affraid (and into the compost bin it went)

I then read somewhere that they would re-grow so I had to buy myself one, just to prove that I could at last keep one. I've got 2 beauties on my kitchen window ledge.

Another plant that I'm proud of, although DH looks after it, is the aloe vera plant that I bought from Lidl several years ago. It now stands about 3 feet tall and actualy flowered twice last year.

I didn't water it but I think the problem was no giving it enough light. Needless to say I just stick with flowers now, but I am impressed you kept yours alive.
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.

I haven't been on for over a week but found that loads of my posts weren't getting any thumbs up or comments.
