  • Fed up today. Was supposed to be going fishing, but woke early this morning with a tummy bug. Spent half the morning on the loo, and still tucked up in bed with the lappy and a hot water bottle now. Stomach sounds like a ruddy volcano! :(

Hope you're feeling better FK. We're holidaying in Wells-next-to-the-Sea in June, anything Tescos or otherwise you can recommend, warn off, etc? Kids are 2 and 5. OH likes walking I like shopping.

Have at long last managed to involve my husband and son in my glitching exploits!
We had to pass near three S's today, so I printed off 18 of the Palmolives and we each bought 2 of the red ones and a packet of basics midget gems in each store for 5p....so the total for all the soaps and 9 pkts sweets 45p :j:j
My DH actually admitted that he never realised how these glitches could possibly be as good as I'd tell him they were , and now he can see why I love these bargains....
He said he got a buzz scanning them and paying so little :rotfl::rotfl:
    They are learning.....
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Evening all. Just popping on again today after another hard days graft on the DIY front.

Skimmed back through todays posts but couldn't find any answer to my post this morning. i.e where have people been using their Cravendale coupon (my extra doesn't stock 1L cartons)?

Although I've not much time for Mr T bargain hunting at the moment but thought I'd share an example of "if you don't ask you don't get" philosophy but it is a bit o/t . The house renovations have involved buying some stuff from DIY.com(B&Q). When ordering stuff online for home delivery I just missed out on a voucher code for 15% off home delivered orders but did manage to drop in for a 15% off worktop order + Quidco (saving about £150).

Still waiting for delivery of items but got an email today giving me a code for 15% off home delivered stuff. Thought to myself "what if I cancel order and re-order using code?". Delicate balance as I would probably lose Quidco discount and all the items I'd ordered have gone up in price since original order anyway.

Thought that there,s nothing to be lost in trying and, to cut a long story short, got a result:rotfl: B&Q agreed to give me 15% discount refund on my outstanding order to save cancelling and re-order. £182 back in my pocket. That's a result as I still get my Quidco discount and the same delivery date and my order had gone up by about 8% anyway:). As I said in a post a few days ago about a similar result with Wickes: who needs Mr T?

Sorry if this is a bit O/T but I sometimes get a bit fed up/jealous with people having great results at Mr T when some of us Stocktonians have slim pickings(cue for a song?) Just like to share a success:o
    Awaiting a new sig

    Good point!!

However, surely I don't have to explain the Y shaped coffin joke, its as old as the hills. Can someone else do the honours??;);)

Just googled it I think you are casting aspersions on my virtue, I was thinking a bit higher up tbh but never mind now :(

I bought some yesterday and the BOGOF didn't kick in but CS told me they can't give DTD on yellow labels only on white ones . I told her I would contact Head Office as she wasn't shifting.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That's a good one. Why don't we compile a top ten of DTD trout excuses for the first page? And perhaps some dignified responses we have used to convince them?
