We were waiting in for a delivery this morning so didn't get down to the car boot till about 11.30am when the stallholders were packing up, or already had, so just had a cooked breakfast in the cafe, and read the newspapers :money: From there we checked in at the auction but nothing to interest us, so just popped to Ald1 and A$da for some shopping and then picked up our meds at surgery dispensary before heading home

Alan was tired by then so while he had a nap, I did the washing up, popped next door to feed dog neighbour away for weekend, and then to disabled neighbour's for a natter over a cuppa. So a 'normal' day for us

It seems ages since I did a good Mr T shop but hoping for one tomorrow. I am just going to check my coupon wallet and notes to plan my shop ;)

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
    Hi,
not gone to Ts after all. Still to cut some MOCs, decided I needed to print out some palmolive ones so printed 4, 2 for me and 2 for my mum.
I've spent all evening watching Harry Potter with DS and then researching curtains and blinds for windows then realised I'd forgotten to take a tape measure to the house with me earlier today so don't know what sizes they are, d'oh!
quite tired now and want to check out the Disney BOGOF tomorrow, hoping for some nice ones to give as gifts at Xmas.
    Goodnight all!

Evening all! Just finished catching up.

Sorry I can't remember who it was who mentioned that you can go through SS with 2 coupons at S's, but I wanted to say a big THANK YOU. I am still so nervous about doing voucher shops, particularly with the controversy surrounding this voucher so it was great to be able to do that this evening. That said, I didn't like the machine screaming at the top of it's voice to scan coupon and then deposit coupon - I am sure I had picked the loudest machine of them all!! Good job it was relatively busy :D
Evening, SA at the SS till wouldn't let me use the £2.50 off a £10 frozen food flop mag voucher today. She (and another 6 staff she disscussed it with) said I had to actually pay £10 to use it, ie the total after the BOGOF comes off not before. Has anyone else been stopped?
No bargains to report despite scanning lots of random things, sorry.
Loving FK pics and allthe pet ones, thank you.

Yes josie_ann they do that to me in our T's - I'm in Cheshire too - must be something about this part of the country - they all seem very hot on coupons in our T's for sure, so I can't quite get the deals some lucky people on here do

Off to bed in a bit - kids off to granny & grandpa's in the morning. I'm off to have stitches removed and then on for a relaxing weekend with DH - in Wiltshire - can't wait!

Have a good weekend everyone xxx

tell me about it Lutzi...my DD who is nearly 4 has just had blood tests to confirm she is a Coeliac sufferer.....has cost me more for bread, pasta, jaffa cakes and cereal just for her for a week, than what I usually spend on all four of us for about 3 weeks  I know I'll get bread on prescription for her...but am really hoping I can get other bits too...not treats like the jaffa cakes, but cereals and pasta would be a great help!!

We have plenty of chemists nearby....2 of which are Boots...so regular trips in there will no doubt result in me spending more :rotfl:

Feel free to pm me looby if I can help, it really does get easier as you go along but it's a big shock at first. But yes, it IS do-able and you can still make food/ holidays etc enjoyable. :)
    Hope is not a strategy.
