Thing is ... doesn't the £5 off show as a "coupon" on the receipt? What's to say this wasn't a JTD and nothing to do with a conditional spend?

It does show as a coupon but if I remember rightly the SA that served me spent a while scrutinising the receipt and she was a proper trout so she took the £5 off the refund.

It was my local so I couldn't be bothered to argue and also a couple of weeks before the same trout refunded me and didn't notice the £5 so bonus!
:) Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be :)

    And get lots of glitches!

♥ I do have my own mental images of what Posters look like :o It's a bit like listening to The Archers & the characters you image from their voices :)

Aaww! You are so right, Snap-Ant.:)

Miss Laid, I always think of you of one of the principle voices of reason on this thread. And I like your sense of humour :rotfl:
    Hope is not a strategy.

I returned some plates the other day which were 150 miles from 'home' Manager was far from impressed! :rotfl:

The rule...although as most Tesco rules its as clear as mud is any Tesco should take back an item provided that store actually stock it.

She was wrong to do that. If you use a coupon and require a refund they cant negate the value of the coupon as they would in effect be depriving you of your valid coupon.....they should issue a giftcard to the value of the coupon. As usual T's staff don't know this as they are poorly trained.
