Just caught up, again *wipes brow*
We had the Simply Add meatballs for dinner tonight, now it says on the packaging 'mild' but jeez oh  if they are mild I wouldn't wanna try hot ones! :rotfl: I'm obvioulsy not built for spicy food!
My multi quote seems to have failed, but just wanted to say that's excellent news 3Dogs, glad you are getting things sorted
I enjoyed the meatballs but my hubby found them a bit too spicy so the second time (bought 2 lots of course), I added three fresh finely chopped tomatoes, some chopped mushrooms and some frozen sweetcorn and cooked on the hob. Mixed in some cooked pasta penne and poured into an oven dish, bit of white sauce over the top, then some grated strong cheddar mixed with a brown bread crumbs and cooked in the over for 15 mins. Had this with some whoopsied garlic bread slices and a bit of salad and he said it was much better.0 -
Happy I think somehow you've wangled your own private glitch courier and delivery service:p:p:p:p:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Guess what I did this afternoon?;) sat in my car on the drive testing to see if I could turn the steering wheel which I can and it doesnt hurt :T:TSo as long as the consultant says ok tomorrow I can drive again. So tonight I am going to sit and make a long list of what I am looking for, then Nannylala and me can go shopping. Then going to build up to a round trip with Qpr, who has already advised me that today she has satisfied her 4p dressing gown craving!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Oh and I have been told that my mums sister is lurking, if she gets up the courage to post she is AuntieLala;);)I think the Lalas are invading:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Certainly seems like it, at this rate I'll never need to leave the flat again which would be bliss.:rotfl::rotfl:
Invasions of the Lala's. When's DS and DH signing up?:rotfl:0 -

My mum bought 2 loose baking potatoes last Wednesday from our local 'normal' T's. She has thrown away the receipt.
When the potatoes were cooked, she found that the inside was slushy, tasteless mush. She had already put baked beans on top of the potatoes so ate it all as this was her dinner and she had nothing else in to eat. The following day she had diarrhoea and tummy pains.
As you know, she has recently been diagnosed with secondary cancer, and I'm not happy that she was potentially made to feel poorly because of the potatoes.
I have just called the 0800 505555 number and was told that she needs to take the packaging back to the store (they were loose potatoes, so they were just in a plastic bag - took aaages to get that point across to the 'customer services' woman...), then the woman said that she should take the potatoes back for a 'replacement or refund'. I patiently (ish) explained that the potatoes are now in the bin. (Bring back the 'rolling eyes' smiley I say...)
Then the cs woman said that there's nothing they can do without a receipt. I have my mum's clubcard number, so I can prove that she bought the potatoes.
Feels like I've just spent the last few minutes banging my head against a brick wall!
Any help will be most appreciated.
xx
Call customer services again. I have found that if you get a carp one, often the next one is ok.0 -
Seeing Lala sat on the drive in her car rareing to go surely was a sight for sore eyes this afternoon.I am sure if DS and Nannylala had not been watching her she would have been in a T's carpark somewhere before you could blink;)l hope the consultant will be pleased with her progress and get some physio in place when she sees him tomorrow.
3Dogs am so happy you have got things sorted re your blue badge and a mobility car. When DH was ill Lala sorted all that out for us so we were very lucky,I remember going with Lala to pick up his brand new automatic Red Rover and him saying to Lala don't tell the neighbours this is a mobility car let them think we have won the lottery;);)bless him:A

Yes they have been quite regular every 2 weeks except when it's wages weekends - might be one on this weekend. Do remember post goes up on the 30th - at the moment a DVD to post Large Letter 2nd class recorded is £1.69 if over 100gs
:eek::eek: Please please please do not parcel items in greaseproof paper (or those paper grocery bags from supermarket) No stamps or stickers will stick to the greaseproofing:(:(:( We regularly had a customer who used the supermarket grocery paper bags & we could not get a label to stick. Had to tell her to get proper brown paper
:o
Just get the Jiffy bags from Poundland - 8 for £1 - perfect
I sent a DVD this morning at it was only 58p 2nd class. Maybe I should have sent it recored?
And believe me, stamps and labels will stick with a bit of 'No more nails':rotfl::rotfl:0 -

aggghhhh!! I feel like I really need a cigarette for the first time today  my !!!!!! of a OH has caused an argument just so he can be a twant and say " oh go and have a fag" again. I hate him, he's such a nasty piece of work at times and such a bully, apparently I'm not allowed to speak now or he'll snap my netbook in half!
I keep wandering off to the back door to have a drink as that is where I used to smoke!!
eta: Shame I don't have the strength to get rid of two poisons out of my life at the same time!
Deep breaths, maybe a walk around the block and take a bottle of water. Dont get mad, get even, maybe not today, but one thing at a time.0 -
