  • Hi Beki - this is not unusual. I have known several people with this leukemia, apparently it is age-related or some such, and does not progress, they just live with it and are normally fine. It is not normally discovered unless they are having a blood test for something else.

In other words - don't panic!

How rude of me - good morning everyone. Another lovely wet and windy day here. Still, at least I won't have to water the garden for a few days!!

Beki, this sounds the same as my FIL
I say "THANKS" to posts that make me smile - Oh and really good glitches.:j

Sure the code scans at £1 off so would be 73p each. Would rather try in Sainsburys later at whoopsie time and get 13p off the shopping lol.
I love using the 13p vouchers down at Mr S it always makes me laugh when I feel good about getting 13p off.
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.

Thanks for that but im sure it says you can buy at £1, (£1 is way too much for me) which is the one that was sent to me when i followed that link xx

Yes if you read back I think thats what everyone else got, I suppose it depends where you trim it, the voucher ends 1007, which I understand from previous quotes means £1 off.

I haven't tried but will be there at lunch to try myself.
Good luck to all of us, although we still have an extra 12 of the Dettol No touch refils to use.

Please forgive this post as I am a newbie, hopefully have not broken any ettiquette, still figuring this out. I confess to being a lurker for nearly a week now but I just wanted to post to say a big thank you to you all for being such an inspiration, and for making me cry and laugh out loud on more than one occasion tonight. What a great bunch you all are.
The knitted monkey was hilarious! makes me laugh just thinking about it - Thank you really needed a laugh!

Guess that I should introduce myself.

Sorry for the very long post, hope that I have not bored you too much, look forward to the time when I can repay you all and find a great glitch or bargain to share.

Borrowed from gladysrocker on the 1p thread :) (please thank OP)

'Keep a look out in stores tomorrow for ladies, mens and kids hats, gloves, scarves etc as all the ones that have previously been in the sale are being reduced to 4p and there is still loads of stock hanging about. Once the staff realise its scanning at 4p they'll take it off sale and dispose of it!!'

Off to bed now, sleep tight all :) x

Thanks fudge, Ive also thanked gladys on the other thread!

    Thank you gladysrocker!:T:T:T

Popped into my metro this morning, and they had loads!

I bought 2 sets of each that I found (boys and girls fleece, and boys and girls knitted) SA was not sure she could sell them, so she checked and the supervisor said 'yep they are just wanting rid!'

Went round again and another supervisor was watching, said to the assistant (same one) 'Dont sell any more of them!!' I assured her that the SA had asked and was told it was OK as I didnt want her to get into trouble for helping!

There was loads still left in the bargain bin and hanging up, I hope they get donated to a charity and not put in a skip!

While we were chatting I discovered she used to be a pupil at my kids primary school, I told her when the summer fair was and invited her to come along and have a good time!

Will be slpitting these between our school christmas fair and shoe box appeal.

So nikkilala and savversavvy, I picked up your gauntlet today! Thank you for the encouragement, I was actually shaking when I got out of the shop! nerves of steel? Nerves of marshmallow more like!
