Good morning all.
Lovely sunny day again....but it started out like this yesterday and while I was in T's there was the most almighty thunderstorm. Everybody literally leapt out of their skins at an enormous clap of thunder.. the rain was bouncing off the roof....and real flash flooding!!
Drove home 15 miles away and nothing...roads were all still completely dry.
Went to friends last night and had such a fun evening. We were all rolling about in laughter (at my expense). My OH was telling them about my obsession for bargains and our mountain of cleaning stuff....especially fabric conditioner. It became more and more exaggerated and ended up like something you'd hear from Peter Kay
And they were howling when he revealed how I approached a total stranger and asked "Are you a friend of Martin's?"
Then he picked up my handbag "Go on, show 'em your notebooks...show 'em your notebooks!!"
Different coloured ones for groceries, household and toys.....all in code only we'd understand
It was all very silly...but so funny.
Does you good to have a good giggle.....and I can appreciate that to the uninitiated, we must come across as a right load of nutters......until you show them what you've got for next to nothing.
Does anyone else here find they are a constant source of amusement for their friends and family....or is it just me? :rotfl:
You are so not alone here, all my friends just think I'm mad and when we get together I am the normal source of amusement(In a nice way;)) especially after a few drinks! I have tried to educate them but it's just not happening:cool:Their normal comments are usually along the lines of how surprised they are I have'nt been banned:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Bookworm63 wrote: »Morning all,
Still catching up but just wanted to make a suggestion Nikki.
I have a friend with IBS and she has to avoid caffeine, so if you find that you are better without the coke and chocolate, it might be worth you trying decaff tea and coffee too. Have you tried the decaff coke? Sorry, have no suggestions about the chocolate though
I can't eat too much chocolate or drink more than a small glass of wine or it sets off my migraines so I know how it feels
I avoid caffeine in coffee and have caffeine free coke but it's the bubbles in it that cause the problem, if you get my drift;):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Choccie I am just going to have to give up and then maybe slowly reintroduce it;) I have started taking two teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water before each meal,it tastes disgusting but I cannot believe what a difference it has made to my IBS in 3 days:TMy IBS gets worse with stress so lknow having my arm done has made it worse:(
Mr Lala is off to footie this afternoon and I have made him promise faithfully to get home safely, if he gets lost on the train like last time I can't drive to pick him up so he'll be in trouble:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:So he's going to get the train and then a cab;) DS is in charge of dinner so we're having simply add meatballs:)
Anyone thats near me just to let you know BB don't stock them but Y**ding stock the meatballs and the tandori chicken and it was working there yesterday. They are opposite the whoopsie shelves;)
Beki, hugs and hope you get better soon xBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: just sent you a pm, not needed now. My DH is getting better. I sent him into the BP garage with 10 vouchers to collect the Dual Snickers bars for 20p each and he came out very pleased with himself. I of course went in after with a further 10 vouchers!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge No 9 516 target £250

Changed my Kipling in HOF as was faulty
Did Primark :eek::eek::eek: :rotfl:
Got 2 dozen Krispy Kremes :T:T:T
I went into Primark the other day with my 19year old niece. Didn't think much of the clothes, felt so sorry for a male assistant folding up t shirts. As quick as he was folding them up then people would come and mess them up looking for their size etc. The clothes area looked like a jumble sale. But the shoes....wow...there were so much choice in summer sandals, I was impressed by how pretty (lots of beads etc) they were and the quality seemed good too. My niece bought 3 pairs and still had change from £20. I bought a pair of leather ballet pumps for £12, bronze colour, so comfortable:)
We also went and bought 2 dozen Krispy Kreme...only paid for 1 dozen as I won a voucher for a dozen doughnuts in their Halloween competition on Facebook..:):)Born to glitch0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Btw I have found them in larger superstores (the ones that sell clothes) so worth a try if you've not ventured out yet. Also they had more flavours than were showing online for me

Simply Add glitch still working this morning at h@tfield, only got two chilli, loads left, tandori and meat balls0 -
Good morning all (just about!)
I have had a huge catch up on this thread, having strayed from the DTD days and the 90% toy sale days, unfortunately with two year old at home I just haven't had chance to keep up with how fast the thread moves, although I have tried to contribute to the 75% toys thread as and when I have been to Mr T's.
Just wanted to say Mr3dogs, you are an inspiration. incredibly brave and wanted to send our best wishes
Not much in the way to report for Mr T's unfortunately, easter eggs are still at half price but there is a lovely gardening set in a pink metal bucket/pail with gloves, water spray bottle, seed markers, pencil and string for £1.25 down from £6. There weren't many left when I picked up a couple the lady said they were selling fast.
Not alot of bargains in the three Extra's near me toy wise, only the Littlest Pet Shop Walkables at £2.49 in the old white packaging, the new ones are around £7 in dark blue packaging alot smaller but the same items included.
I picked up three tandoori chickens and one chilli yesterday (left plenty on shelf for others) and I must say even our fussy two year old loved the tandoori chicken, very pleased we have two more in the freezer. Even better bargain when you take into account the plastic containers, they look perfect for batch cooking
I will try to get back on the bandwagon with keeping up, still recognise quite a few names on hereComping wishlist for 2017
1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuffThe more you put into life, the more you get out0 -
