I bought some Finest poultry gravy from Mr T last Saturday (7th). The first one I picked off the shelf said use by 4th April. I hesitated for a moment and wondered if I should buy it and then complain that it ruined my turkey dinner as the gravy had gone off. I ended up returning it to the shelf and getting one from the back that was in date. I'm regretting that decision now as I'm sure I'd have received a gift card for at least £20 for a ruined Easter dinner and would have happily used my bisto for that price. I'm now on the lookout for out of date food, although they always seem keen in my store checking the dates but obviously they must miss things.

I found a few packs of baby stock cubes in my local metro which were 6 months out of date :eek: so I very kindly pointed them out to a SA who didn't really seem very bothered and just took them all away.....this was before I found this lovely thread, became Mr T's obsessed and a bit devious :rotfl::rotfl:oh how I wish I had bought some now!! This was late last year and they've actually only just tidied up the baby food aisles and removed the SEL's for them!
Erm I'm not sure if I've got the hang of this money saving.....I seem to be spending more money buying 'bargains' that I don't really need - oops!! :)

    Phew! Caught up! :)

Did a few mystery shopping assignments this afternoon. Uploaded my comments etc. It's nice to be paid to do some shopping. :D Mind you, I guess we all know how that feels when we shop at Sir T! :rotfl:

Thinking of getting a new car within the next few months; especially with my new job starting. I know it's not very 'money saving', but I've had my old little banger for a few years now and she's getting on a bit. Oh the number of trips to Sir T she's had. :rotfl: Plus I've worked pretty hard to become a doctor...so I think I deserve to have a little treat. ;) Anyone got any good suggestions?

I'm thinking a Focus RS (love the look of the car). I think it's a bit too early to get a Ferrari Enzo or Lamborghini Aventador. :rotfl: But one day I would love to buy one of these cars! (if you haven't noticed, I do love my cars...I've even become a big F1, WRC and BTCC fan over the past couple of years!)

I've been told by all the doctors that now is the time to buy a decent car...before other financial commitments take over when I'm older (mortgages, family, children and having a husband :rotfl::eek:).

Go for it Karlie, we love cars too and have just ordered a new one. My DH must say at least 6 times a day he can't wait for the new car to come, he has already traded his in as we got more for it now than waiting, it was depreciating at £500 pm :eek: He will have to wait though as it won't be here until end of June.
As you said you have worked hard for it to be able to treat yourself and that is why we look for some of the bargains sometime to be able to have other treats :D:D
If it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:

Ok thanks. Will phone them tomorrow morning and see what they say. Can take it back after work if thats what they want. :)

Is it just the normal grocery number i phone?

I'd contact customer services on their freephone no.
    Telephone 0800 505 555*

I may be wrong, but the grocery number is for online grocery orders.

For the D*nd33 elite, Rside has the Simply Add range. I got the last 2 Chicken Tikka, but there were lots of meatballs and chili left. More importantly the glitch is still working:j!

ETA, glitch working at 23.05 this evening.

That's terrible, you'd think they'd be extra careful when it comes to baby food. I wonder how many people had bought out of date ones in those 6 months and used them without realising the BB/use by date.
