Ok I have a question that is completely OT ... really numpty ... and relates to my TV.

I have a flat screen TV on the wall (far above little fingers) and today I finally got an electrician to move the socket to behind the screen. Now I can't turn the bloomin' thing off. The power switch on the front of the TV and on remote just switches it to standby ... I've tried looking for another physical switch along the sides of the set but can't see/feel any and I can't get my hand to the plug or the socket switch.

PS ... I have downloaded a manual which is tells you how to do everything apart from switch the damn thing off ... oh and I also found this on a FAQ link on a product support site but think it really is referring to a Power button not an 'off' switch. :(
Does my TV have an 'off' switch?

All new LG TVs (April ’09 onwards) have an 'off' switch. This is located with the other control buttons on the TV, either on the right hand side on the unit or on the bottom edge. Prior to April '09, TVs made after 2006 did not have an off switch, although some did have a physical standby switch.
Anyone any ideas? :( Am I ok to go to bed?

Sorry, I can't help you. I just wanted to say that I never even realised my TV had buttons on it until I looked at it really closely just now for you. :rotfl:

It turns out that I have a standby button on the right hand side as well as volume, source and menu buttons too.

Oh that sounds wonderful, Disney is so magical regardless of your age, there's just something about it be it nostalgia or believing in the make believe...it's all just MAGIC! :D

My favourite time we went to Disney was at Halloween :jIt really is something extra special to go over there during a major holiday, they go all out with the decor and celebrations.

A Disney flashmob?! :j:j:j:j

And Auchan! :rotfl:I loved that place because of the kids trollies with the flags :D

aww i'm glad you are feeling a bit better xxx

Disney at halloween looks like so much fun!!
We bought Annual passes last july and was so lucky to have a week there then and another week at the end of august last year, we really wanted to go again at Christmas but after my daughter fell and broke her foot a few weeks before we cancelled as it would have been too much of a stuggle for her, So we are now leaving Tuesday night :j:j The kids are so excited by all the 20th Anniversary stuff lol and i am too :D lol

I've experenced this many times. Seriously, i could have posted that word for word.

The "lady" who most often tries to grab all the bargains for herself in our A's is quite short. A few of the SAs have started to deliberately unload the best whoopsies onto the top shelf so that the rest of us can get them by reaching right over her head

:T:rotfl::rotfl::T

I know I reference my height quite often and post all about my whoopsying adventures but I'd just like to clarify that this is NOT me!!:p

And if it was me they'd have to do better than that....I've been known to climb the shelves! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

But it isn't me.....

HONEST! :o:rotfl:

ETA: Night night nahteb20, sorry to hear about your DD, hope this trip will more than make up for it :D xxx and night night to everyone else too, my bed's calling! xx

Good morning everyone :)

Good Morning Westvletern and anyone else who doesn't need their beauty sleep:cool:

I'm hoping the price checks come through today and I can go see if Tesco has anything they wanna give me.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Woke up slightly earlier than usual, but not bothered. Glad to see you here. Don't hold out much hope from those price checks :( T's IT system seems to have gone AWOL.

I'm not holding out much hope either. I just got back into the price checks the last month or so because I could never find the dettol handwash system in Asda and had the £5 coupon, so decided to keep them going. I remember now why I stopped with them after dtd and went to Asda:cool:

I didn't really wanna go shopping today anyways, much prefer ironing and cleaning:cool:

I cleared a cupboard out last week and found a few bottles of Bailey's Tesco paid me to take away during dtd, maybe I'll drown my sorrows in a bailey's bath LOL

I have to agree asda's APG System is miles better.

Baileys bath :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just had a hailstone shower here - the noise. The unpredictability of Spring, never safe to venture out without full waterproofs.

• Arrrrr morning my glitchies!!

It's Cap'n GlitchHunter here with news of a Mr T. Booboo.

Mr T. do a range of Simply Add products that are perfect for keeping the crew in order. They come in a number of flavours including...

Spicy Meatballs
Tandoori Chicken
Masala Chicken
Beef Chilli

and a few others I think.

They normally come in a square clear(ish) plastic container and are 600g by weight. Normal retail price is about £4 per single unit.

178221.jpg

However Mr T. has decided to put these on promotion at the moment, instead of £4 each you can buy two for £6 saving you the princely sum of £2!! or so he thinks......in fact Mr T's. vastly overpaid and technically challenged team have instead of giving you two for £6 reduced them by £6 giving you two for £2......

Oooh Aaaar only a miserly £1 for 600g of crew filling protein and sauce!!

Cap'n GlitchHunter says fill 'yer boots before Mr T. notices these cannoning off his shelves.

Avast yea landlubbers, your weekend starts here.

Anchors Away.......
