And good morning to everyone who is coming along soon.
No snow but defnite temperature drop
Was getting to rather like the warm sunny days. But the good news is I am hitting the Lakes for the long weekend and snow up high would be welcome. Ideally a good few inches dumped today and tomorrow, and then glorious sunshine to follow when I am up there
. Seems mad packing winter gear when I have been wearing shorts and t-shirts.
Any Eliters in that neck of the woods?
Hi RootedNomad
Bring your winter gear and forget the shorts and tshirts! Temp between 8 and 11 degrees and a cold northerly wind, which will be absolutely perishing if you intend to do any mountain tops! Will be in my caravan in Grasmere where are you going? Sadly no Mr T's anywhere nearby. Wrap up warm. Can't see if much snow on the tops from here but Kirkstone pass is closed so there must be plenty about! Enjoy the Lakes they are stunning.:wave:0 -
Goodmorning, afternoon and evening all! (just incase I forget
)I've had them knock £150 off a tv when I showed them the money
Good luck
I done this a few years ago when my brother was moving into his own place and was buying a cooker, washing machine and fridge freezer so hoping I can have the same success when getting these for myself. I've printed out the details from the website I found them on so going to go tonight to see the best offer I can get.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Afternoon everyone :hello:
Just popped into an 'out of town' Whs and thought I would try for some more gift cards , well it was such a small branch - there was only one till
with one person serving  I waited for the queue to go down
bought 3 mobile topups with gift cards and then bought 4 greeting cards and 4 gift cards with gift cards , asked him if I could get some more birthday cards, to which he replied "I think I better check first if it's ok to do this"
I told him not to worry and left the shop rather quickly ! :rotfl::rotfl:
I think I'll stick to large stores with weekend staff

when i ordered my cooker and frigde freezer. i found the ones i wanted online, printed out the page and took them to comet, they didnt stock them in store (i knew that as thery were "online specials") but she did it on her pc and they duly arrived. i needed a new cooker as mine had a major hissy fit with some bread pudding :eek:SpiralingDown wrote: »Just caught up yet again
Won't have much time to do so tomorrow as will be shopping for washing machine, fridge-freezer and potentially cooker. I have an idea of what I've got to spend and which items I would like but want to see what sizes they are. If I don't get a better price I will just order them on-line as I can pay them off in 3 monthly payments and all are reduced in the sale so can get better spec items for what I'm willing to pay
All I can say is god help the Currys SA who has the misfortune to ask me do I need any help tomorrow :rotfl: I've been saving hard and want to get value out of every penny!
Also have to ring the housing association in regards to the house to see when I can get the keys and start ordering the things to it, it just seems to be taking forever to be able to sign for it.
Hugs to all who need them and a few extra for others so no one feels left out
and thanks to all who help each other on here, we all need extra help from time to time but some just don't have friends or family who are willing to listen or help. I for one can say I reveal much more to cyber friends than I can to most of my other ones so again thank you so much xxxlife is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0 -
Cadburys Wishes scanned at 65p yesterday.
Just some info about L2S vouchers:
Have spent one £10 in Homebase, no change given, as expected.
Tried to spend one £10 in Mothercare, total was £9.99 but SA claimed till said no, and I had to buy a 50p item I didn't want in order for the balance to be OVER £10 for the transaction to go through. It doesn't say anything at all on the voucher about minimum spend. I've sent Mothercare an email as there's nothing on the L2S site about minimum spends either.:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -
