I'm in the middle of making the mushy pea curry, thanks to the OP. Shame that no one else in the house likes peas :D

I shall appease them by adding potatoes, for some reason they all like them in a curry.

My mushy pea haters loved the curry. I just told them it was "vegetarian" curry. They'll never know. ;)
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D

    Mine just came :j
They all seem to be coming via yodel so I rang them earlier saying I'm expecting a parcel but don't have the tracking number so they took my address & name it was in and told me it was due today & just turned up so you could give them a ring :)here's the free phone number I used 08001577777
Just make sure you give them the name you used on ssm ;)

Noooo....free phone? I'm in a bit of a grump with Yodel: Got home to find notification from them saying parcel left by back door. V Excitedly, I ran to look - no parcel anywhere. I looked at the website but it is not that great - only useful for redelivery really. No tel. nos. on it. The telno. on the card is an 0871. Rang it and waited over 5 mins at 10p/min, then had to drop DD off. Came back and rang again; it took 10 mins to answer and I was told as it is still on system as being on van I will have to ring back in half an hour when system is updated  I asked if they could ring me back as I had already spent some time waiting (and paying for call). "No - because all calls are recorded and you need to be on line when I talk to you" (???) I replied (smiling all the time so I didn't sound too irritated!!) "Can't you record the phone call you make to me then?" "No" she says.

Anyway, I basically said I was irritated as this is 2nd parcel delivered by Yodel with card saying "By Back Door" only to find it isn't. Obviously I asked for the supervisor and the 'Customer Agent' said she wasn't around, but then decided to go and look for her. Eventually she came back on the line to say the manager would ring me back: Fingers crossed now!

I think their customer service is rubbish. The card doesn't have a time on it or date, and I wonder if the driver just has them already written out with "By Back Door" and doesn't even care. I also imagine that Yodel make money from these phone calls. I'm not too worried about this parcel as it is probably SSM stuff, and I can wait for that, but the last one was clothes which DD had ordered and paid extra for next day delivery as she wanted to wear them that night!!! We had written a note about where to leave it on the delivery info too - and we are in a really quiet location, off the beaten track. Grrrr:mad:

Anyway - thanks for listening - just had to get it off my chest!!!

I should say Good Afternoon now I've stopped ranting too! I'll pop off and catch up now! And thanks for that freephone no. - I will be using it if no answer in an hour or so!

With mention of the Travelodge sale. I've remembered I have a room booked for the 6th May at Newbury which we now won't be using and can't be refunded.
To any of the regulars....it seems a shame for it to go to waste ;)

Edit...Just read that back and it sounds like I'm inviting someone for a dirty weekend
Don't worry....I won't be there waiting in my negligee :rotfl::rotfl:
