Got an email from the hairdressers husband to say that the hairdresser has been diagnosed as clinically depressed and will therefore not be doing my wedding hair, was really upset as had really liked the hairdresser when i booked her and now cant find a new one that doesnt charge the earth!! The cynical part of me wonders if its true or whether she has just got a bigger job on, as i only had her booked for hair/make up for me and my sis.

lol thats exactly what i was thinking of doing, her website is still up and running!

Im not getting married till July so i have 14 weeks, the only problem is i am really not a girlie girl and dont really know how i want my hair and dont normally wear much if any make up so dont want a face full and the lady i had booked seemed to understand.

This is a strange one! I used my 'normal' hairdresser for my wedding hair do. I don't see her often because I'm not really a girlie girl either, so only go in for a dry cut once every 6 months or so!! :rotfl: I've only been going for approx 2 yrs, (so not much profit to be had out of me!)

On my wedding day there was only my hair to do and hubby (to be [at the time]) took me in that morning! I had no idea what I wanted, didn't want anything majorly different, she opened early and spent 3hrs doing a wash, cut, set, style and a very glam hair accessory for under £30! I was so pleased.

I know this is probably not helping, but I'm thinking it strange that your hairdresser would put off your hair so far in advance. I wouldn't consider your hair and make up, plus your sister's a small job. (Not compared to mine anyway!)

Is she a sole trader or does she have other stylists? There must be something she can do, if only recommend someone else?

Email her husband back, if she passed all her work to someone else, it's possible that they'd do her rate for the extra work.

    Something's fishy.

She was just a mobile hairdresser who also works out of a studio in her garden.

My problem is I'm getting married an hour away from where I live and will be in a hotel there the night before so really need someone to come to me, I have had no communication with her since she cancelled as I say it was the husband who emailed and he didn't even know what deposit I had paid or how he was going to return it to me so didn't really see the point in asking him for recommendations!

I'm off to bed now, night all and happy Easter for tomorrow.

Is it safe to come out now? Have the pedants tucked themselves up in bed with their dictionaries? :)

Evening friends, I didn't bother going for woopsies as I will be away with DH from tomorrow. DH4 here and freezer and fridge is full anyway , no doubt when we get home I'll need to restock the fridge.

I'm sure this is illegal :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just buy anything from the store and sa will give you a shiny red giftcard. It is per transaction and there is no minimum amount.
Some sa insists you have to spend £10 ,try another one.
Today i bought nice sweatshirt £7.99 and little skirt £5.99 and it took extra £4.99 off saying dress discount(4yearold girl)
I paid £8.99 for both items and I am really happy because so much birthdays coming up I (incidently) decided to get clothes instead of toys:)
There was no sign for the offer

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Not the H&M offer again:eek::eek::eek:

from one gift card addiction to another

SA's in H&M love me too from the last time this was on:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T:T:T:T:T

actually my sis was worse than me, she took in her 4 kids and they went upstairs and bought £1 item each =5 cards, then downstairs to do the same =5 more gift cards, went in every day doing the same thing, they did get wise after a few days though:D:D:D:D

i sent my OH and he said straight out to the SA, look I can but 3 of these clothes brushes for a1 each and you give me 3 gift cards or i can buy one, walk out the store and come back for another three times, which would you prefer, she let him buy all three in one visit:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

ps got lots of fruit on my whoopsie run, quite a few items of clothing to be returned next week mounting up though lol when i will be "out" of town;););)

hope your all well and enjoying the hols x

    further note to self....P108

This makes sense to me...when I log back in tomorrow, it will bring me straight to this page, so if I make a note of where I got to when catching up, I wont miss any pages!

Hope you've all had a good evening, I've been to a barbecue/party and had a "few" vodka's, so I am off to bed now. Night all!

Evening all just wanted to come and say happy Easter!

I never caught up the other day. Feel like I'm swimming against the tide with that and then it puts me off joining back in as I feel I will have missed too much, does that make sense?!

Plus no-one ever tells me what I've missed ;)

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

I would be the same as your OH and just go for it as they are not on commision so at the worst you would get a trout
