    B&Q currently have a 3 for 2 offer on ALL paints, indoor & outdoor:T

I know that someone mentioned the yellowing gloss paint recently? I have the same problem:mad:

I have just decorated 6 rooms and have yet to do the gloss work which I hate for this reason.

In B&Q, they have a primer which goes over old gloss work that allows you to use silk for wood and metal. I just bought it and some silk paint and a crown 10ltr MATT emulsion to make up the 3for2 offer. I also redeemed a post office gift card that I found when moving furniture in one of the rooms when decorating. It had £10 on:beer:
    So a £56 bill became £25 odd:T
    Yay me!!!
:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
    Grocery Spend Weekly Challenge (Sat-Fri):£30.50/£40

Afternoon all, who has been on a Ts run and got the bargains today then?
I'm popping up later and need to fill up my tank as driving down to Oxford tomorrow for a few days. Need to check out if there is a Ts near where I'm staying :o:o

Been busy the past few days trying to tidy the garden get washing all done and ironed (beds changed so DS4 won't need to do his) Have also cleared out some   manky looking stuff on two plates on the floor, 4 tall glasses   and 7, yes SEVEN pepsi cans. His room is now nice and clean and fresh smelling :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: well, smells better than it did

I think some of it is to do with dialent/accent. I will slip in a 'me Mam' as that is how I say it ..... the Geordie in me keeps trying to escape while I type :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

3dogs Hi there, I'm glad that you and Alan have been able to get out and about, I hope the weather keeps good for you over Easter.
I have had such a laugh at me mam ........ yes me too, it's ingrained in me.
I once told a friend (who was born in Norfolk) "Me mam said it's at the back end"  I hasten to add that what it meant was - My mother said it is at the end of the year. Does that make sense to you 3dogs

  • my local co-op seems to do their best whoospies first thing in the morning. They get a "better class" of whoopsie hunters :rotfl: The local asbo's dont bother getting up before 3pm so there's never any fighting or arguing over them :rotfl::rotfl:

Shall [STRIKE]bare[/STRIKE] bear that in mind and try them in the mornings then, hopefully might get lucky! Thanks QoC :D

My Mum who is in her 70s wont buy the greatgrandchildren eggs as she "cant afford it" she has 6 ggchildren. I had to bite my tongue when she showed off her new sunglasses to me last week they ONLY cost her £75!!!! Argh so so annoyed at her I told her about the £1 eggs it would have cost her all of £6. I am so different to her thank goodness
My gran decided 5 years ago that instead of giving me,my brother and my sister £20 each for Xmas (we are all in our 30's), she couldn't afford it anymore so took it down to £5... and that was "per couple" with our long term partners/husbands etc. Mum (on her behalf) buys us either a tin of roses/quality st or a bottle of wine with it. I really dont mind Gran being frugal but then she thinks nothing of getting mum to spend £25 on flowers for a long lost friends random daughter who she barely knows or a jumper from M&S for her son's hanger on of a friend. I did used to wonder why we are "back of the queue" (and i dont mean from a monetary point of view) but now I just laugh at it and shrug it off. Strange.... cos to me, my family is everything and come first yet for my Gran, we aren't at the front. Just the way some people are I suppose.
    Tiger
I'm a body double for Claudia Schiffer and i wont get out of bed for less than [STRIKE]£10k per day[/STRIKE] a 1p find

It certainly does altojack :rotfl: :rotfl: What I have to be VERY careful with is in calling the hallway the passage, especially when referring to the back passage meaning the one by the one by the back door
