One of my favourites is the misuse of the word 'literally'.
"It was awful, I literally died of embarrassment..."
    Really?

 Agreed & 'basically' 'at the end of the day' :o

Dyserth Falls is really easy to get too, head to the main road from Haven and take a right then follow the road to Prestatyn until you get to a Peugeot garage on the left. Take a left there and follow the road for about 2 miles (you will pass the top of Prestatyn High St) the road does have a few tight turns (one over a little bridge so be careful!) then eventually you will come to a dip in the road where the speed is 40, you will see a complex on the left calls Dyserth Falls Complex (I think) with a fountain infront of in. Go past here and take the next left, you will see The New Inn on your right, you can park here if you use the pub or you can park by the falls which are a bit further up the hill. Think they charge about 50p to go to the falls but its well worth it.
Talacre is worth visiting for the lighthouse on the beach. (Just before the Preststyn turn. Ditto the Crown Inn - carvery is something ridiculous - about 3.98 each!

The New Inn at Dyserth was fantastic.
All of the above were courtesy of 'kristi' a couple of years ago when we stayed at Prestatyn.
There was also a large outlet shopping place nearby, although we didn't visit it.
    HTH.:rotfl:

:T:T Many thanks MKS - have C&P it to email to Fourp to print :D Tell me more about the Outlet Shopping Place please ;);)

My mum was disappointed when I told her I was expecting my DS. She never let her disappointment drop until he was about 4 years old and we went to visit. DS asked, "Granny, why do I never stay at your house?". She replied, "You can stay at my house whenever you like". "OK", he said, "I'll stay now!". I explained gently that it wouldn't be possible because we hadn't brought any pyjamas or spare clothes. My mum shot me down in flames,"We will buy him pyjamas and spare clothes! Of course he can stay with his granny if he wants to!" So he did, and they have been close from that day to this. He is 26 now, and when he left home he went to live close to her.
So grannies can change. Just be patient and give it time...
and congratulations I'm thrilled for you. :j

God I must be hormonal that post made me cry!!!

My mum was funny when I told her I was expecting my daughter but only because the last time I was pregnant I had a missed miscarriage and she saw how badly I took it and was scared for me in case it happened again (she didn't tell me this was her reason for being weird until I asked her a few months in to my pregnancy why wasn't she happy).

Please no one check my grammar/spelling I'm on my phone and my fat fingers hit all the wrong buttons!!!

I'm the same as 3dogs - I text in full.

What REALLY annoys me is when people us "stationary" instead of "stationery" or vice-versa. It's "e" for "envelope" - very easy to remember. I even saw it on a stationers' website once!

I use car for stationary - don't know why, but there it is :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: but I like your's better, as it makes sense when mine doesn't :o My highest GCE results were in English Language and English Literature, but I often check my spelling with Mr 3Dogs :o. Whoops showing my age again with GCE's :o:o :D
3Dogs- Being a cricket fan, is Alan watching any of IPL? Its fab to watch :-)

Not watched any yet as keep forgetting about it QoC. Mr 3Dogs' favourites in order are football, cricket and golf, whereas I have to say mine are cricket, football and golf ;) Loving the T20 as something new, bringing new spectators into the grounds and making lots of much needed money for the counties. Test cricket is still our favourite though, as it is the true form of the game

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We both have quite strong Geordie accents ;) even though we have been down in Cambridgeshire since 1985  but I can appreciate why you would want to hold back on your's, living where you do ;);)

It's good to see the goods pack arriving, has anyone got their £25 LTS vouchers or the goodie bag with mixed household and beauty products? These are the only one's I won and was wondering if they had arrived with anyone yet.

    :) Ditto
    Afternoon all
£50 LTS vouchers arrived this morning :j Burning a hole in my pocket they are :o Still waiting for the £25 ones and goody bag. Have decided to put them towards an i-phone :D Apple dont take them, but carphone warehouse do and they sell SIM free ones :j Now, do I wait until the £25 ones arrive or just go out on Monday and get it anyway? Now I know what I want, I want it NOW!!

:rotfl::rotfl: I'm exactly the same. Was ready to catch the train after work this morning if the £25 L2S had arrived to go & get my Kipling bag. But nothing came :( I even asked in the Sorting Office if they could look if any post was sorted for tuesday for me ;)
So do I just go & get my bag without the £25 as there are only 2 left on website or wait........................... :o

I went to England v Sri Lanka T20 last year and I had a fab time :D I prefer T20 or one dayers because I get bored with the test version, its so slow in comparison to T20!

ITV4 every day between now and mid-May :)
