I regularly tip out the content of my handbag and put all the unsigned receipts through the price checker. Given that most staff don't know what they are doing, I'm sure I must have, on occasion, printed a voucher for a receipt I have already used.
If you do this and there are no repercussions, it would be easy to think that you can get away with it again and at that point, throwing away the unsigned receipt could easily become very hard to do - particularly for those who are short of money.
I'm not saying it is right but I'm saying that the system is so flawed that it puts huge temptation in people's path and I understand that it can be hard to resist.
The onus should be on T to operate an effective system - not on customers to resist temptation.
While I agree that Tesco should implement a robust and effective system, people who re-use their vouchers are committing a criminal offence and, simply, should not do so. Just because someone has left their back window open does not give me the excuse to climb in and steal their possessions.0 -

I got the floss action too0 -

I quite agree and please don't get me wrong - I am not defending or condoning the behaviour.
I'm just saying that I can understand someone finding it hard to resist. If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -

I wouldn't worry about your profile. It sounds like you wre being watched anyway. I would CERTAINLY proceed with filing a complaint first of all with the police. Then when you have a police incident number, then contact head office quoting the police reference number.
They will certainly leave you alone after that and know you are not to be trifled with.
Please keep us all to date with it. This kind of thing could happen to any one on here
They were probably 'miffed' that I got one hundred and thirty + tpo yesterday (4 round trips round the store) - I was surprised to see any there at all today. Only popped in to see if I could see any the heart-shaped ferrero.
I think if they had been watching me, they would have pulled me before I paid and got the receipt. My friend works for the local paper and would just luvvv to do a story - no chance though, I dont want all my neighbours knowing that all the treats and goodies I have been giving out cost only 1p from Tesco!
Still on umpteenth edit of my epistle complaint - think I need to revisit it when I have eaten some more chocolate and had some valium!0 -
Izzeyb - what a horrible experience! Well done on how you handled it though :TA bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist0
