Hopefully a lazy day today with a quick pop to T's
I have a nice Gammon Joint for dinner today and was wandering if they cook well in a slow cooker? A friend said she has cooked beef n them before and gorgeous but just wandered.
Gammon cooks beautifully in the slow cooker - never cook it any other way nowadays.0 -

This is probably a very silly question then but how do I do it?

Morning all.
Was going to say I've just popped in for a quick catch-up but this thread moves so fast there is never a 'quick' catch up!
I saw yesterday on HUKD somebody had posted a new dettol coupon with a long expiry date but now it's gone. Does anybody know if this a legitimate coupon or somebody doing a wind up?
Hope not many of you have to go to Ts shopping today, yesterday was worse than christmas eve and I came away without most of my shopping as I couldn't face the manic shoppers and huge queues at checkout!
Happy Easter0 -

I just put the joint in the slow cooker without anything else, not even water although I don't think a small amount would matter. It then just cooks in it's own juices.
If you have dogs, once the juices go cold it makes a great treat for them. Mine lie on guard in the kitchen close by the slow cooker all day!0 -

If you are feeling brave cook it in cola its honestly yummy, if not just an inch of water in the bottom I had a few spoonfuls of honey and leave for 6 hrs on high0 -
