i was going to say i dont use iceland because it means a trip into our nearest local town centre but we do you use farmfoods for basic frozen stuff like peas and i like their bacon, chips, stir fries, quality pizzas,we buy over £25 to get £2.50 off and freeze it all to save money that the village coop now doesnt get
ive just found out the stepdaughter uses iceland in her town buys over £25 worth and has it delivered free
so i guess they must be much of a much ness
still cant beat fresh though in season

I was going to ask about this!

Just waiting for my new family sized fridge freezer to come, and was thinking about trying to do a main shop once a month for meat and fish etc then pop into Aldi for fruit and veg each week.

Do not buy ready meals, and cook from scratch if I can

I used our Farm Foods as they have better offers ie 2x 2litres of milk for 1.80 plus its easier to park and open longer than our Iceland. I do a big freezer shop once a month and use the MoCs.. Farm foods is the winner for me..

Just had a look online and see that they have loads of multi buys. Can you mix them? Ie 3 for £10 pork steaks, fish and chicken?

I buy Iceland's Back Bacon - 20 rashers for £2 and its very good. I have seen packs with very little fat on them.

Farmfoods, I buy my Wotsits, Quavers etc from there.

My one and only experience of Farmfoods was their ready meals..salt salt salt. You could taste it.
  • Just been to Farmfoods, hadn't been in and really looked recently. Always buy my toilet rolls and kitchen rolls there.

Picked up 2 big bags of Auntie Bessies Hash Browns BOGOF for £1.00, not something I normally buy, but OH fancied them for a change.

Also picked up 2 Upper Crust Chicken & Gravy pies, the large ones. They were £2.00 on a BOGOF, another item I wouldn't normally buy, but son coming home for a week.

2 packs of 4 Nicky toilet rolls for £2.00. Have tried others, but still find these the best value and quality.

They also had the bags of sliced mushrooms for BOGOF, £1.00 but stocked up on these a couple of months ago.

    HTH somebody.
