Money Managing software

Hi

I am interested to know if a product like this exists....

Something which will 'synchronise' all of your online account balances at the press of a button - i.e. without having to log in to each one- i know she has all of her accounts with Lloyds TSB

Also, if money comes in/out - it alerts you - via email/text ?

Any other features - like downloading statements, organising payments, would be great but not essential.

My sister is trying to setup a new business and I feel if there was a software package that did this it would help her stay on top of things.

Any advice hugely appreciated!

  • Chris Hi, we are not well served in the UK with this. Microsoft Money is about as good as it gets here since Quicken stopped the UK version.

MS Money is quite good though even though the UK does not seem to get updated as often as the US version. It does allow you to set up Regular Payments and you can download from certain banks. I think eMail alerts are probably better served from your bank if they do it.

MS Money does have a lot of features for Shares with on line updates etc.

If it is for business then you might be better going with the small book keeping packages, perhaps someone else can help with that. PC Pro mag recommend QuickBooks Pro (Starter version £34) and MYOB Accounting Plus 15

    Cheers

  • Slightly off topic but there are excellent services that will provide the service you are looking for in terms of savings and investments. www.igminvestmore.com allows you to monitor all of your shares, ISA based unit trusts, OEICs etc all in one place. It also sends instant SMS alerts if any of your products go above or below the three alert levels that you can set and modify. Saved me a packet during the Northern Rock crisis.

They seem to run 7 day free trials on a regular basis and there are various discount codes knocking around.
