Personal Injury claim
Hi, sadly I was involved in a rear end shunt recently and have been left in quite allot of pain.
The third party has admitted liability which is good news.
I have attended a GP for a medical examination and the report has dealt with each area of pain in turn.
My neck - GP recommends 5-9 physio sessions
My lower back - GP recommends 5-9 physio sessions
My leg - GP recommends 5-9 physion sessions.
My question is this - my solicitors are saying this means 5-9 sessions in total at a max of £45:00 per session. My concern is that this does not seem to be interpreting the medical report at all.
The GP has recommended 5-9 physio sessions for each problem area, and to expect a physio to treat all three at each sitting of half an hour (£45:00 max) seems both unreasonable and unlikely.
What should I do, as I feel the solicitors are not following the GP recommendations and as such this will prolong my recovery....?

It seems like a ball park figure from the gp. You won't know how many sessions you need until you start treatment.0

Have you checked what the local waiting list is for NHS physio? If it's reasonable (some areas are) then it could be quicker (and certainly cheaper) than arranging private which you may have to pay before the insurance is settled

I agree, but the point is that the solicitor is making the judgement that this "ball park" figure is indeed consolidated.
The sessions I agree could be shorter for lets say my back i.e. 4 sessions not 5-9 as instructed by the doctor, but the solicitor is trying to consolidate all sessions recommended by the GP, and effectively reducing the potential for the treatment scope that I could be entitled to.
It is quiet clear that each area from the prognosis is recommending between 5-9 sessions not a consolidated view as per the response from the solicitor.0
