for absolutely no reason, two of the folders on the desktop have emptied themselves?! the contents are nowhere to be found anywhere, ive searched everywhere i can think of..i havent modified them or anything, what do i do...one of them had hundreds of photos in!! ive got most of them on disc but not all so really panicking at mo!:eek:

Search this forum for Albertross's list of undelete tools - do not use pc ---- if files are deleted you may overwrite the disk area where the files are - just download tool to a usb key
Check how you are viewing the folder .....

recycle bin was the first place i looked lol, ive done a search of all files and folders etcetc, im talking hundreds of meg here and theres no way i manually deleted the contents of that folderFr. don't reboot!

I'd use restoration as well.
It is true that if you install it on the hard drive where the files are missing, or if you try to restore on the same drive, you'll likely overwrite the contents of some of those files. So try to install restoration to a different drive, and try to restore your pictures to a different drive as well.0 -
