Should you start an ebay auction at 99p

Not at the moment - Ebay is very quiet,
But a quick search of completed listings tells you if there is demand to make the price rise.0 -
Personally, I have pretty much given up using auction style and now go for the Buy-it-Now 30 day listing. If I want to sell something, I look to see what kind of price similar items have sold for in the past and pitch my price around the high end. That way I will either get a decent price or only waste 40p but won't let anything go for silly money. If there's no interest afer a couple of weeks you can always revise the listing to drop the price.Retired so trying to save even more!0

If you're selling lots of similar items ie, same sized clothes then it may be worth starting some at 99p, others at a higher price, in the hope that you'll get someone checking your other items from the cheaper listings & buying several things.
Always offer good combined p&p where you can.0 -
