looking for something a bit different to do in London

Hi everyone!
I am looking for a little bit of inspiration!! I am taking the bf out in london for his birthday, got a comedy show booked and hotel etc, but I was looking for something fun to do in the afternoon. Problem is, he is bored by art, history and animals, so that is most of the big touristy type places of the cards. He loves the gym, film, music and technology, so I was wondering if there are any cool things related to them in central london?!
Any ideas will be massively appreciated! (Im looking at the start of May, if that makes a difference

What about the science museum? That's pretty cool. Lots of interactive stuff, too. And an IMAX cinema with 3D films.0

I did think of that, my original plan was to try and see the avengers at the imax, but alas it is not showing at the proper bfi one :P but I will have a look into the science museum....thank you!0

The British Music experience is on at the 02 Greenwich. We went with the children using free tickets from sky last year and had a good time...lot of interactive techno type bits that kept my teen happy.

It is on the 2for1 rail offers if you are using the train to get in and out of London. If not you can buy a ticket from a rail station in London for one stop to get the savings on the day.

Lot's of strange pickled things in jars here. I would also second the science museum.
The Science Museum, the Natural History Museum and the V&A are virtually next door to each other so you could always spend the morning pressing all the exciting buttons at the Science Museum and the afternoon gawping at Dinosaurs

Was also going to suggest this - they are opening up a sister museum in Covent Garden at the end of this month so that might be worth a look as well."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
