Erm,
When we bought a holiday home abroad the starting point was that we actually liked to holiday in the place it was situated, for us that was the canaries. Do your parents have any preferences for where they like to holiday?0 -
Welll I think Spain even though my dad hates flying but said he would if he had to, and probably best finding somewhere there that is maybe low buget airline flights from glasgow e.g malaga and alicanti, gerona and reus I'll try round there a beach nearby will do fine for them I think tanks you 2.0

Sunnydays, I sell property in Normandy, NW France, but we don't have budget flights to this region - Ryanair pulled out 3 weeks before flights were due to start  , which really endeared them (not) to the Chamber of Commerce, who had spent a fortune in publicity and training and recrutiing new airport staff!!
Beware buying anywhere that is totally reliant on budget airlines to get you to your holiday home.
Work out your budget and how you are going to fund the purchase of your home. Fix your rate of exchange with a currency company (PM me if you want details of who I use), so you know exactly how much it will cost.
If you are going to rent it out when not using it, check out any tax implications and costs of doing so (paying a caretaker/cleaner/keyholder, and advertising costs for example).
And you really cannot do enough research!!
Don't believe everything you see on A Place in the Sun
If Spain is your (parents') first choice, have a look here for more advice:
