Renting in London with a dog

As I might look for a rental if I sell my house before finding anywhere else suitable, I enquired of local ea's regarding landlords willing to accept pets-I have a cat. I was told it averaged out at a 50-50 split between those that will consider pets & those that won't take a pet at any cost. Like you, I'd be more than willing to pay a higher deposit for something suitable.
I think the idea of a pet cv rather ingenious & perhaps if you have former neighbours who could testify that the dog was well behaved & not a noise problem when left alone, this could help sway a potential landlord.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
